Emily Goeglein

Emily first found yoga as a college student. Like many runners, she found it to be the perfect complement to her cross country schedule. After a rather off-and-on yoga practice, including a lot of home practice and research, Emily found Butterfly Yoga. As her home practice was supplemented with Butterfly classes, the principles she had read about began to come to life! Self awareness, meditation, and learning to live in the moment were new and very needed skills. She credits her yoga practice with giving her the self awareness to finally uncover a destructive food allergy and lose thirty pounds of college weight. Reoccurring SI pain had her ready to give up running until she learned to realign and strengthen the joint through yoga.
Emily completed a nine month training program in Vinyasa yoga at the beginning of 2011. After teaching for about a year, she came back to Butterfly to learn more about the Anusara principles. After a year of driving to teach classes up to 45 minutes away, she's delighted for the opportunity to teach at Butterfly, three blocks from her house. She enjoys the teachers and the Anusara method, and is loving the opportunity to learn a new style and keep a beginner's mind.
