Jaclyn is a yoga teacher having completed an Anusara Yoga Immersion Series and currently enrolled in a Yoga Alliance accredited 200 hr. teacher training program with experience teaching in the Jackson yoga community. She grew up in Ohio and came to Jackson as a mechanical engineer. Her zest for the life affirming drew her deeper into an existing yoga practice and to teaching. She loves to open the gift of yoga to her students and let them explore the rich connection between their minds, bodies, and spirits. With a background in aerobics and ballet, as well as marathoning and triathlons, her experiences give her an ability to connect with many students. Whether they wish for overall fitness, or specific therapeutic benefits, Jaclyn is happy to bring energy and fun to the practices she guides.

"As a type-A girl who came from a background of teaching step aerobics and kickboxing, marathoning, and triathlons, yoga has been a constant help for me. Over the years it has provided sanity, stress relief, therapy, injury treatment and prevention, strength conditioning, and flexibility. Before teaching yoga, I felt like a cloverleaf, being pulled in 3 separate directions, physical health and fitness, intellectual challenge, and spiritual fulfillment. Since beginning a serious practice and ultimately teaching yoga, the 3 petals of the clover now find a home in a single philosophy. I find that yoga supports and is supported by such odd bed-fellows as my decade of ballet and my mechanical engineering degree. Yoga has turned on a light of clarity where I had many questions in the past. From my first Sun Salutation in 1999, I knew that yoga was a gift that was meant to unfold in my life. Now I can share that gift with others and watch as their practice grows!"
