Ronni Mott

"I knew after my first Anusara yoga class that this was for me," says Ronni Mott. "I hate exercise for the sake of exercise, but Anusara combines the best of a good work out with the balance, grace and concentration of dance. Plus, there's a spiritual and philosophical aspect to yoga that I haven't found with anything else. My practice grounds and sustains me."
Ronni came to yoga later in life, and says that it has given her strength, stamina and flexibility she thought she had lost forever. She was looking for a way to stave off the physical and mental deterioration she saw in her parents during their final years, and has found much more. "I feel connected again," she says, "in body, mind and spirit."
Ronni works as a writer/journalist, editor and amateur photographer when she's not doing yoga. She currently teaches level one classes at Butterfly, and is putting together a class for "Yoga Over 50: You're Only as Old as Your Spine," which she will offer in the fall.
